Unveiled Yang Hyang-ja 'Korea's Hope'... "Let's Cross Over to a New Era"
"South Korea Will Fall If It Fails to Become a Leading Nation"
Must Change to Good Politics, Science Politics, and Everyday Politics
"Introduce Nordic-Style Political Schools and Shadow Cabinet Education System"
Yang Hyang-ja's independent new party, 'Hope of Korea,' has been unveiled. Representative Yang promised, "South Korea must now move into a new era" and "I will pursue politics different from the existing political landscape."
At the founding members' meeting of Hope of Korea held at the Yeouido Korea Federation of SMEs, Representative Yang delivered a speech saying, "Let us unite the aspirations of the people dreaming of a better world, surpass the past, transcend today, and move toward a new future."
He criticized the current Korean politics operating as a hostile symbiotic relationship between the two major parties, emphasizing, "We must now cross over to a new era created by good politics, scientific politics, and practical politics." Representative Yang stated, "The country we dreamed of, built miraculously from the ruins of war, is neither a conservative Korea, nor a progressive Korea, nor a Gangnam Korea, nor a Gangbuk Korea. It is not a country where yesterday's innovation becomes today's deep-rooted evil when the regime changes, or where today's justice becomes tomorrow's crime. It is not a country where the truth of facts changes depending on the faction, or where support or opposition to policies shifts. It is absolutely not a country where a divided society and estranged citizens take to the streets daily, shouting for the eradication of the left and the right."
Representative Yang warned, "Having reached the highest stage as a 'catch-up country' chasing advanced nations, now is the time to cross over to a 'leading country' that guides the world. If we fail to cross over, we will fall."
In particular, he criticized, "We have been wasting over 20 years exchanging mutual accusations like 'Is this a country?' and 'Is this even a country?' while abandoning the 'order of words' and common sense of the world. Politics led by the two major parties is merely a power game and a struggle for vested interests."
Advocating politics different from the existing ones, Representative Yang declared, "I will transform 'bad politics' mired in factionalism and corruption into 'good politics,' outdated and inefficient politics into 'scientific politics' based on science and technology, and discard their privileges to change people's lives through practical politics, 'living politics.'"
Emphasizing the need to transcend factional boundaries, Representative Yang addressed public concerns such as "Is a miracle really possible?", "Can Yang Hyang-ja make it?", and "Is it possible without a presidential candidate?" He stressed, "If we abandon distrust, it is possible. When each of our beliefs gathers, it will soon become a mighty current that changes history."
Representative Yang declared that Hope of Korea will operate with a different mechanism and system from existing parties. He said, "We must part ways with the familiar. Hope of Korea will be the world's first party operated on a 'blockchain platform,'" adding, "With the transparency, immutability, and stability of cutting-edge technology, we will fundamentally block corruption such as money envelope scandals, guarantee fairness in candidate nominations, and prevent outdated practices like the party leader's arbitrariness and overrepresentation of delegates from even being attempted."
He also explained, "We will introduce a Nordic-style political school and a self-developed shadow cabinet education system to educate on national vision and policies, debate and communication skills, character, and morality." He plans to complete the party establishment by August and open a political leadership academy with 100 students starting in September.
Representative Yang emphasized, "Over 30 years ago, when it was said that Korea's semiconductors would surpass Japan and the United States, everyone said it was a futile dream. But thanks to dreaming the impossible dream and challenging fearlessly, we caught up with Japan and surpassed the United States to become number one in the world in just over ten years. Miracles are not far away. They belong to those who dream the impossible and challenge without fear."
