The Wave of Sharing Continues... 'The Power Transforming Gumi-si'
BHC Distribution CEO Baehwa Chan Joins Honor Society Gumi Chapter No. 12
On the 26th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk held a membership ceremony for Baehwa Chan, the 12th member of Gumi City (157th in Gyeongbuk) Honor Society, at the International Trade Cooperation Office, attended by Jeon Woo-heon, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, and Jeon Ho-gil, Director of the Gumi City Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group.
Donor Baehwa Chan is the CEO of BHC Distribution. Based on over 20 years of experience in the distribution business that started in Indong, he opened and operated the Big Mart Ok-gye branch, and currently operates a total of five Big Mart branches including Sandong, Daegu Buk-gu, Gimcheon City, and Andong City.
Despite his busy business activities, he has never forgotten his heart for neighbors in need and has consistently practiced quiet donations by donating food supplies such as rice and ramen to low-income households through administrative welfare centers in towns, townships, and neighborhoods including Gumi City, Andong City, and Chilgok County whenever the opportunity arises.
CEO Baehwa Chan said, “Rather than waiting for a time of leisure to share, I felt that putting that thought into action is the most valuable thing, which led me to join the Honor Society,” adding, “I want to repay a little of the love and gratitude I received from the community through sharing while running my business.”
