The low-pressure system developed along the stationary front will affect South Korea until the 27th before gradually moving away. According to this movement of the stationary front, the monsoon rain will continue nationwide until the morning of the 27th, then enter a lull period, with occasional rain expected nationwide until the 28th.
In particular, from the morning of the 26th, 20 to 40 mm of rain per hour is expected in northern Gyeonggi, western Gangwon, Chungbuk, eastern inland Jeonnam, and inland Gyeongsang. Similar intensity rain will fall in the late afternoon and nighttime in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous Gangwon, Chungcheong, and northern inland Gyeongbuk.
In the southern regions, 20 to 40 mm of rain per hour is expected from the night of the 26th until the morning of the 27th, and Jeju is expected to receive 40 to 60 mm per hour.
From the 26th to the 27th, Jeju is forecasted to receive 50 to 150 mm of rain, with some areas expecting over 200 mm. The Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous Gangwon, Chungcheong, southern regions, the five western islands, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo are expected to receive 30 to 100 mm (with some areas in Jeonnam, northern inland Gyeongbuk, and southern coastal Gyeongnam receiving over 120 mm), and the eastern coast of Gangwon is expected to receive an additional 10 to 50 mm of rain.
Temperatures on the 26th will be similar to the average for this time of year. Morning temperatures will range from 19 to 23 degrees Celsius. At 7 a.m., temperatures in major cities were Seoul 22.3°C, Incheon 21.9°C, Daejeon 21.4°C, Gwangju 23.7°C, Daegu 21.1°C, Ulsan 21.4°C, and Busan 22.7°C. The daytime high will be between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius.
As the rain eases on the morning of the 27th, hot weather will arrive. On the 27th, daytime temperatures will rise above 30 degrees Celsius mainly in the southern regions, and on the 28th, most areas nationwide will see daytime temperatures exceed 30 degrees Celsius. Due to high humidity, the perceived temperature will be higher than the actual temperature.
