Gwangju City Sports Council Visits Sangmu Army Infantry School to Support ROK Soldiers
Chairman Jeon Gapsu and Secretary Kim Youngsam Encourage Soldiers' Hard Work
Jeon Gap-su, President of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Sports Council, visited the Sangmu Base Army Infantry School to encourage the soldiers of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces in observance of the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
According to the Gwangju Sports Council on the 25th, on the 23rd, President Jeon Gap-su, Secretary General Kim Young-sam, and other executives visited Sangmu Base, where the Army Infantry School is located, to deliver consolation money and sports equipment and to commend the hard work of the soldiers.
They watched a tour of Sangmu Base and an introduction video of the Infantry School, and through a meeting with Commander Park Won-ho of the Army Infantry School and the soldiers, they expressed their gratitude for the sacrifices and dedication made to protect the nation.
In addition to the consolation money and sports equipment prepared by the Sports Council, the Gwangju Football Association and the Gwangju Tennis Association also participated in donating sports equipment to share the same sentiment.
