[BusanIsReady] LG Supports Expo Attraction at Airports and Landmarks Worldwide
LG is carrying out various promotional activities to boost support for the bid to host the '2030 Busan World Expo.' Currently, an advertisement supporting the Expo bid is being displayed on a large billboard near Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris, France. This advertisement was launched to coincide with the 172nd General Assembly of the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE), held over two days starting on the 20th (local time) in Paris. Additionally, 110 billboards near the assembly venue in the Issy-les-Moulineaux area of Paris are being used to support the Expo bid.
LG continues to promote the Expo bid at global landmarks, airports in various countries, and major domestic hubs. Since June last year, support videos for the Expo bid have been displayed on large electronic billboards in New York's Times Square and London's Piccadilly Circus. From September of the same year until March this year, videos were also shown on digital signage at Chopin International Airport in Warsaw, Poland, and on outdoor billboards at Warsaw Central Station.

The efforts of top executives in the bid are also notable. In October last year, Koo Kwang-mo, CEO of LG Corporation, visited Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland, to request support for the Expo bid. On that day, CEO Koo expressed gratitude for the economic cooperation between LG and Poland and said, "I hope that Busan will become a platform for communication about the 'new hope and future' that the World Expo pursues." Jo Joo-wan, President of LG Electronics, has been visiting various countries as a special envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to seek support for the Expo bid. Last year, President Jo also visited three African countries to support Busan's Expo bid.

LG is actively utilizing offline stores as well. At approximately 400 LG Electronics Best Shops nationwide, videos supporting the Expo bid are being broadcast to inform customers visiting the stores about the World Expo hosting efforts. An LG official stated, "We plan to continuously promote, through various methods, that Busan is a city capable of hosting the Expo, possessing modern charm, traditional appeal, and natural beauty all at once."
