Joseongmyeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, Attends Gangnam Medical Tour Center Opening Ceremony on the 21st
Gangnam-gu (Mayor Joseongmyeong) held the opening ceremony of the Gangnam Medical Tour Center (GMTC) on the 22nd at 161 Apgujeong-ro.
About 70 people attended the ceremony, including members of the Gangnam-gu Medical Tourism Association and medical tourism officials.
The center has staff fluent in four languages: English, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian, providing one-on-one customized medical tourism services. Additionally, it offers Gangnam’s unique one-stop concierge services linking pickup and landing services, interpretation, accommodation, and shopping.
Along with this, the center is equipped with a shared office that can be used for business meetings and video consultations between medical tourism partner institutions and medical tourists. The community room will be used to conduct training to enhance the practical skills of medical tourism personnel.

Mayor Joseongmyeong of Gangnam-gu stated, “At the newly revitalized Gangnam Medical Tour Center, we will provide high-quality medical tourism services to medical tourists,” and added, “We will actively support the revival of Gangnam medical tourism, equipped with the best medical staff and state-of-the-art facilities, to exceed pre-COVID-19 levels and attract 150,000 medical tourists by 2026.”
