Korea Forest Welfare Institute Announces Recruitment of 215 Scholars for Green Scholarship Program
The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 22nd that it will recruit 215 recipients for the '2023 Green Scholarship Program' from August 14 to October 14, targeting workers and majors in the forestry and forest industry fields.
The scholarship recruitment fields are divided into the 'Academic Scholarship' for high school and university students, and the 'Forest Job Scholarship' for young people experiencing job training, workers engaged in work-learning in forestry and forest industry, and university students majoring in forestry and forest industry.
The academic scholarship provides up to 3 million KRW per person, and the job scholarship provides up to 1 million KRW per person. These scholarships are funded using lottery funds (Green Fund).
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Forest Welfare Institute website, filling it out, and sending it along with the relevant documents via email to the program manager.

Since 2016 until last year, the Forest Welfare Institute has supported a total of 998 academic scholarship recipients and 898 forest job scholarship recipients through the Green Scholarship Program.

Nam Taeheon, Director of the Forest Welfare Institute, said, “We hope the Green Scholarship will provide practical help to high school and university students and young forestry workers, who are the future generations of the forestry and forest industry fields,” and added, “The Forest Welfare Institute will continue to spare no support to nurture future talents in the forestry and forest industry fields.”
