Geumcheon-gu Operates ‘Cafe Naunau,’ a Resting Space for Youth
A Resting Space Where Youth in Doksan-dong Can Freely Come and Go
Provides Educational and Cultural Programs and Cafe Internship Opportunities
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold an opening ceremony for ‘Cafe Naunau,’ a resting space for youth in the Doksan-dong area, on the 23rd.
‘Cafe Naunau (312 Doksan-ro)’ means ‘Now is the time, let’s do it now!’ and is a youth cultural space designed to help young people express their thoughts and dreams at this moment.
From 5 PM to 8 PM, after cafe business hours, the space is used exclusively for youth.
The cafe was proposed and is operated as a resident participation budget project by the community group ‘Cheongbaji’ (a local group focused on youth).
Starting in July, every Wednesday, a career counselor will run a ‘Youth Career and Aptitude Counseling’ program, and every Saturday, educational and cultural programs such as ‘Drawing Class’ and ‘My Writing’ will be offered.
Additionally, leveraging the spatial characteristics of the cafe, a ‘Cafe Master’ internship program will be operated to provide job experience and pocket money opportunities to youth aged 17 and older.
