Dongdaemun-gu to Operate ‘2023 Visiting Future Education’ at a Total of 15 Locations Including Local Children's Centers Until August
Specialized 4th Industrial Revolution Instructors Visit in Person to Conduct Experiential Programs Including Maker Convergence Theory and Practice
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) will operate the ‘2023 Visiting Future Education’ program until August to provide equal digital education opportunities to children from vulnerable groups with low access to information education.
‘2023 Visiting Future Education’ is an experiential program where specialized 4th Industrial Revolution instructors visit local children’s centers and Uri Dongnae Care Centers to provide maker convergence theory and practical education to the children using the centers.
The district held the first session on the 9th at the second branch of Uri Dongnae Care Center and plans to continue education for about two months until August at a total of 15 institutions including local children’s centers in the area.
The educational content is designed to be easily understood by children in the 4th Industrial Revolution era and includes ▲ Making Our Village with 3D Pens and LED Bulbs ▲ Genie Bot Line Tracing Experience ▲ Making AI Autonomous Cars ▲ Coloring Play AR Experience, with one session conducted per center based on their preferences.

A district official stated, “Through this education, we hope children who have relatively fewer digital education opportunities will develop the capabilities to grow into future talents of the 4th Industrial Revolution era,” and added, “We will do our best to establish a foundation for growth without learning gaps so that our children can grow into healthy and creative future talents leading the 4th Industrial Revolution.”
