On this day, the speaker Kim Won-young, who has osteogenesis imperfecta and uses a wheelchair, is active as a lawyer and actor, consistently voicing concerns about disability rights. His works include Defense for the Disqualified and Desire Instead of Hope.
This lecture, under the theme of 'The Future of Disability and Care,' will be an opportunity for citizens to engage with the speaker, who will share experiences as a person with a disability about what technology that respects 'imperfection' rather than making humans perfect might look like.
Sim Jae-min, the city planning officer, said, "We are pleased to hold a meaningful lecture related to 'Disability and Future Technology' with citizens ahead of the 2023 Busan World Disabled Persons’ Games," adding, "We will continue to strive to enhance the knowledge of Busan citizens."
