Nongshim, 'Baehongdong Jjoljjolmyeon' with the Same Sauce Taste as in Snack Bars
Nongshim is challenging to become the number one in the summer bibim-myeon market with 'Baehongdong Jjoljjolmyeon,' launched earlier this year.
Baehongdong Jjoljjolmyeon is a product that replicates the taste of jjolmyeon using the Baehongdong bibim-myeon sauce. It was developed based on the fact that the sauce made with pear, red chili pepper, and dongchimi in Baehongdong bibim-myeon has received high praise from consumers. A Nongshim representative explained, “We chose jjolmyeon, a menu item consistently loved by young consumers, after reviewing various bibim-type dishes as a new product that can expand the application of the bibim sauce.”
Baehongdong Jjoljjolmyeon features dried noodles that create the unique chewy and springy texture characteristic of jjolmyeon. Since the dried noodles are air-dried instead of fried, their surface is smoother and denser compared to fried noodles, allowing them to achieve the chewy and springy texture similar to jjolmyeon.

Additionally, the sauce is spicier than the original Baehongdong bibim-myeon to match the jjolmyeon concept. Overall, the deliciously refreshing and spicy sauce combined with the chewy and springy dried noodles and crispy, savory fried toppings perfectly recreates the taste of jjolmyeon from snack bars.
