ToBeSoft Targets Japan with 'Nexacro N'... Hitachi and Nomura Send 'Love Calls'
Tobesoft, the No.1 domestic development tool company (CEO Lee Kyung-chan), is focusing on targeting the Japanese UI/UX market. The strategy is to penetrate the Japanese market by leveraging its product 'Nexacro N.' Since it has already received love calls from partners such as Hitachi Ltd. and Nomura Research Institute in Japan, it is expected to be reflected in sales in the second half of this year.
Tobesoft announced on the 21st that its Japanese subsidiary, Tobesoft Japan, is discussing expanding the application sites of 'Nexacro Beyond' (Korean product name: Nexacro N) with Hitachi Ltd. Hitachi Ltd., an electrical and electronic equipment manufacturer, has maintained a partnership with Tobesoft Japan for over 10 years since 2012 and has been a customer using Tobesoft products.
A Tobesoft official said, "Some Hitachi Ltd. business sites are using Nexacro N and have been using Nexaweb interchangeably, but recently we are discussing expanding the application of Nexacro N by business site," adding, "Starting with this discussion, we plan to increase the supply of Nexacro N to Japanese companies."
Tobesoft’s 'Nexacro N,' which has recently attracted attention in the market, allows the development of digital product screen UIs without script coding through quick code, and it features intuitive rendering of complex data, making it a 'digital transformation essential' for government agencies and various companies.
Tobesoft plans to target the Japanese market by leveraging Nexacro N. Unlike the domestic market, it takes a long time for development tools introduced by foreign subsidiaries to establish themselves in the Japanese market, but Tobesoft Japan has been recognized in the Japanese market for over 10 years.
Initially, the target was Japanese customers using Nexaweb. The goal is to induce as many as possible to switch to Nexacro N in the second half of this year by utilizing the network built in the Japanese market for over 10 years.
This network was evident at the '2023 Private Seminar,' held for the first time in four years in Tokyo, Japan, under the theme of proposing the 'TO-BE' of system development by Tobesoft Japan. This event was an unusual case where a foreign company held a private seminar targeting local customers and partners, considering the cases of Japanese software companies. Nevertheless, about 100 Japanese customers and partner representatives, including Hitachi Ltd. and the SI (system integration) company Kosawell, attended.
Choi Tae-rim, CEO of Tobesoft Japan (head of the Japanese subsidiary), said, "We have secured a network by conducting business locally for over 10 years, and this seminar confirmed the trust Tobesoft Japan has built with local companies," adding, "After the seminar, we received inquiries about Nexacro Beyond from many customers."
According to the U.S. market research firm Gartner, as of 2019, Japan's IT expenditure was 27 trillion yen (approximately 270 trillion KRW), and Korea's IT expenditure was 7.8 trillion KRW, showing a difference of more than three times. Tobesoft aims to showcase the technology it has accumulated so far to a broader market and increase its sales scale.
Tobesoft plans to focus on acquiring new customers based on its network with local Japanese companies. Accordingly, it aims to expand its Japanese sales to 10 billion KRW within three years by 2026. To this end, it has recently strengthened its sales capabilities by increasing personnel at its Japanese subsidiary.
Previously, to strengthen its presence in the Japanese market, Tobesoft changed the name of its Japanese subsidiary from Nexaweb Japan to Tobesoft Japan. This reflects the intention to unify the Tobesoft brand and expand the market through active investment.
