The Complex Community Center to be built in Boseong-eup in 2024 will be constructed with a budget of 41 billion KRW, consisting of two buildings with 6 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. It is expected to serve as a landmark of Boseong-gun, equipped with the council, a living culture center, a small library, a Pansori performance hall, and sports facilities.
Additionally, Yeolseonru, located in Sinheung-dongsan, is the place where General Yi Sun-sin submitted the report stating, “I still have 12 ships left.” Boseong-gun and Jeollanam-do are promoting the Yeolseonru reconstruction project and Sinheung Park development project to commercialize Yi Sun-sin-related history and historic sites as tourism products in the future.
Vice Governor Moon Geum-ju said, “I thank the officials who are working hard to create cultural and sports complex facilities closely related to the daily lives of Boseong residents,” and encouraged, “Although large-scale SOC projects face difficulties in securing project funds and are not easy to promote, Boseong-gun’s case of pushing forward with such projects will serve as a good precedent.”
Deputy Governor Kim Gyu-woong of Boseong said, “The Complex Community Center, scheduled to be completed next year, plans to include various cultural and sports facilities, which will help expand the insufficient living infrastructure,” and added, “We will carefully oversee the progress to ensure these projects become successful and meet the expectations of the residents.”
