Kim Kyun-ho, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Enacts 'Narcotics Prevention Activity Support Ordinance'
Kim Kyun-ho, a member of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced on the 21st that the "Ordinance to Support Prevention Activities for the Abuse of Narcotics and Harmful Substances in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City" was approved as originally proposed at the 312th 1st regular committee meeting.
The ordinance includes provisions related to the abuse of narcotics and harmful substances, such as ▲establishment and implementation of prevention plans and surveys on the actual conditions ▲prevention projects ▲events and promotions related to the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Councilor Kim stated, "Recently, incidents related to narcotics and harmful substances, including among the youth in our local community, have emerged. With the enactment of this ordinance, it is very important to more actively prevent the spread of narcotics and harmful substances in Seo-gu, protect the health of Seo-gu residents, and create a safe community environment."
He added, "Specifically, I hope that various tailored promotional and prevention activities for different target groups will be actively carried out by establishing plans related to multiple promotional and prevention projects, including educational measures for out-of-school youth beyond the regular curriculum."
