Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is recruiting participants for the 2023 Gwanak-gu Youth SNU Engineering Camp held at Seoul National University until the 26th.
The Gwanak-gu Youth SNU Engineering Camp is a collaborative project between Gwanak-gu and Seoul National University aimed at helping high school students develop an interest in engineering by providing a camp-based experiential learning program that combines camping and engineering, thereby assisting in their university and career choices.
The camp program consists of ▲introductions to 12 departments of the College of Engineering by SNU student mentors ▲engineering classes as engineering programs ▲E-CON (group engineering competition) to develop engineering problem-solving skills ▲Seoul National University campus tour ▲and a talk concert for communication with mentors to resolve questions.
The camp will be held from August 7 to August 9 as a 3-day, 2-night overnight program at the Seoul National University College of Engineering. The district will select a total of 40 students, prioritizing current high school students in Gwanak-gu first, and then students registered as residents of Gwanak-gu second. The results will be announced on July 4 at 5 p.m. on the Seoul National University College of Engineering website. The participation fee is 30,000 KRW.
Students who wish to apply should download the application form from the Gwanak-gu Office website (News & Notices → Gwanak News) by June 26, fill it out, and submit a scanned copy via email to the person in charge at the Seoul National University College of Engineering.
Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “We expect the 2023 Gwanak-gu Youth SNU Engineering Camp to serve as a stepping stone for nurturing talent in the engineering field,” and added, “We will actively support local youth to grow into creative talents.”
