Dong-A University Hosts 'Early Startup Package DU-ni Networking Event'
The Startup Support Group of Dong-A University held the ‘2023 Early Startup Package DU-ni Networking Event.’
This event, part of the ‘2023 Early Startup Package Project,’ was recently held at the Emerald Hall of Hotel Nongsim in Busan to facilitate information exchange among startup companies, concretize business directions, and discuss mutual cooperation plans.
About 40 people attended the event, including representatives from 23 companies selected for Dong-A University’s Early Startup Package, officials from the organizing institution, and related organizations. The event featured a startup special lecture, introductions to linked startup support projects and programs, and networking sessions.

View original imageInvited as a senior company, Youngcheol Kwon, CEO of Genfix, gave a presentation titled ‘Startup Case Presentation,’ offering practical advice on branding and startup know-how. CEO Kwon also serves as the chairman of the Dandi Venture Forum, held through public-private cooperation to discover promising entrepreneurs in the southeastern region, activate startups, facilitate information exchange among founders, and attract investment.
Hyungjun Seo, a researcher at the Busan Intellectual Property Center, introduced linked projects aimed at securing intellectual property rights and raising awareness among early-stage startups, receiving positive responses.
The Startup Support Group of Dong-A University is supporting early-stage entrepreneurs through the 2023 Early Startup Package Project.
With the goal of specialized support in new industry fields such as ‘Biohealth,’ ‘Future Energy,’ and ‘Smart Mobility,’ seven institutions including Dong-A University Technology Holdings, Busan Regional University Consortium Technology Holdings, Pusan National University Technology Holdings, Series Ventures, T-Lab, Dream Ventures, and Smart Farmer have secured an investment fund of 1 billion KRW. The investment funds will be allocated to promising startup companies.

Choi Jeong-ju, head of Dong-A University’s Startup Support Group, stated, “We will create a platform for communication and exchange to foster a challenging and creative startup culture and atmosphere to revitalize startups in the southeastern region.”
