KT announced on the 20th that it has introduced the ‘AI Tutor’ service to AI Codini. AI Codini is an artificial intelligence (AI) coding education platform. The AI Tutor is an interactive block coding service that enables two-way communication.

View original imageThe AI Tutor is an educational service that applies AI-based speech recognition technology (STT), speech synthesis technology (TTS), and dialogue processing technology, allowing users to learn block coding through conversation. With AI speech recognition and synthesis technologies, the AI Tutor can recognize the user's speech and respond vocally. During the learning process, if the user asks questions conversationally or speaks the correct answers to presented quizzes, the AI Tutor delivers answers or words of encouragement through voice. Supplementary learning or advanced education is also possible. It provides vocal explanations for various learning guides such as block coding coaching, additional problem-solving commentary, and frequently asked questions to help users understand quickly.

KT currently supports the AI Tutor in the beginner block coding courses of AI Codini. It plans to expand the service to 16 courses, including intermediate and advanced levels. Kim Bong-gi, Executive Director and Head of the Convergence Research Institute at KT Convergence Technology Institute, said, "With the AI Tutor, we expect to provide users with a learning environment similar to real-life and contribute to the activation of education businesses utilizing AI." He added, "We will actively support the use of AI Tutor as an assistant teacher in various subjects in the public education market going forward."
