Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) subsidiary organization, Dongdaemun-gu Facilities Management Corporation (Chairman Taekhwan In), announced that it has simultaneously increased the room occupancy rate of ‘Cheongpung Youth Hostel’ and implemented ESG management through innovative facility management.
This achievement is the result of facility management innovation pursued since Chairman Taekhwan In’s inauguration last September, based on his management philosophy of ‘harmonizing public interest and business viability.’ After benchmarking advanced accommodation facilities and obtaining legal advice, a successful contract was signed on January with an accommodation voucher sales agency possessing over 30 sales channels, enabling nationwide promotion and sales of ‘Cheongpung Youth Hostel.’
Additionally, through a business agreement with the ‘National Developmental Disabilities After-School Activity Alliance,’ Cheongpung Youth Hostel supports various experiential programs where people with and without disabilities can interact together. This ‘ESG management’ approach has increased off-season usage rates and enhanced the social value of Cheongpung Youth Hostel.
Compared to the highest revenue period since the establishment of Cheongpung Youth Hostel from February to May 2019, this year’s February to May performance showed ▲143% increase in revenue ▲126% increase in number of users ▲133% increase in room occupancy rate.
