The ‘2023 1st Ulsan After-School Talent Star Festival,’ where students can express their dreams and talents, will be held on the 17th.

On the 16th, the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will hold the ‘Ulsan After-School Talent Star Festival’ to help students get closer to their dreams and showcase their talents.

The After-School Talent Star Festival is an annual event that provides opportunities for students to express their dreams and talents in the arts, targeting after-school programs and student club teams at individual schools.

This year’s performance will feature 13 teams (192 students) including choir, samulnori, nanta, dance, and band, who were selected through a judging process.

The participating teams include 7 elementary schools (Gaeun Elementary, Gyeokdong Elementary, Namoe Elementary, Daehyeon Elementary, Maesan Elementary, Myeongsan Elementary, Sinjeong Elementary), 5 middle schools (Gaon Middle, Gangdong Middle, Guyeong Middle, Muryong Middle, Yeonam Middle), and 1 high school (Ulsan Technical High School).

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education stated that the event will be held at an outdoor performance venue, allowing anyone to attend, and they expect enthusiastic responses from students, parents, and citizens, as well as natural promotional effects for the visiting after-school programs.

For those who cannot attend the Ulsan After-School ‘Talent Star Festival,’ vivid footage of the performances will be recorded and made available on YouTube.

Lee Hye-jeong, Director of Educational Innovation, said, “The Talent Star Festival not only provides an opportunity for youth to express their dreams and talents but also contributes to character education as team members prepare for the performance by caring for and cooperating with each other.”
