Increase in Veterans Benefits Allowance Starting July
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will increase the veterans' allowances starting from July and provide them to veterans and their families.
This increase in veterans' allowances was made through an ordinance revision to eliminate the gap in veterans' allowances compared to other regions and to contribute to the respect and welfare improvement of national merit recipients and their families.
Provincial government subsidies will be provided separately, and the veterans' respect allowance supported by the county budget will increase by 30,000 KRW per month, from 70,000 KRW to 100,000 KRW. The honorary allowance for war veterans will increase by 30,000 KRW per month, from 120,000 KRW to 150,000 KRW.
Additionally, the welfare allowance for the spouses of deceased war veterans will increase by 20,000 KRW per month, from 50,000 KRW to 70,000 KRW.
