"From Next Year, 300mm Fab Equipment Sales Increase... Foundry and Memory Drive Growth"
Korean Sales Revenue Expected to Reach $30.2 Billion in 2026
Global 12-inch (300mm) fab equipment sales are projected to reach $119 billion by 2026, marking a 60.81% increase compared to this year. As Korea emerges as a key region driving sales growth, it is expected that growth engines will be established in the foundry (semiconductor contract manufacturing) and memory sectors.
On the 15th, the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) forecasted that global 300mm fab equipment sales will decline by 18% from last year to $74 billion this year.
From next year through 2026, double-digit growth is expected to continue for three years due to demand from high-performance computing (HPC), automotive applications, and memory. Specifically, sales are projected to increase by 12% to $82 billion in 2024, by 24% to $101.9 billion in 2025, and by 17% to $118.8 billion in 2026.
Ajit Manocha, CEO of SEMI, stated, "The outlook for 300mm fab equipment sales demonstrates strong semiconductor demand," adding, "Especially in the foundry and memory sectors, there will be remarkable growth driven by demand for various application chips."

By region, Korea is expected to record $30.2 billion in 300mm fab equipment sales in 2026, nearly doubling from $15.7 billion this year. SEMI explained that this could serve as a driving force for the overall growth in 300mm fab equipment sales.
Taiwan is projected to grow from $22.4 billion this year to $23.8 billion in 2026, while China is expected to increase from $14.9 billion this year to $16.1 billion in 2026. The United States could nearly double its sales from $9.6 billion in 2023 to approximately $18.8 billion in 2026.
The largest segment in total 300mm fab equipment sales is the foundry sector. Foundry sales are expected to rise from $44.6 billion in 2023 to $62.1 billion in 2026.
