On the 14th at 2 PM, the district held a vision declaration ceremony at Bangsin Traditional Market to announce the promotion goals and detailed plans to transform it into a ‘premium lifestyle culture market.’
About 100 people attended the vision declaration ceremony, including Jo Sang-hyun, president of the Bangsin Traditional Market Merchants Association, association officials, local professional organization leaders, presidents of merchants associations from other traditional markets, and residents, celebrating the new start of Bangsin Traditional Market.
The event was divided into two parts: the first part was the vision declaration ceremony, and the second part was a congratulatory performance.

Bangsin Traditional Market was selected for the ‘Cultural Tourism Market Development Project’ by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and will receive a total project fund of over 1 billion KRW for the next two years.
The district plans to transform Bangsin Traditional Market into a regional cultural space and a landmark that visitors want to return to.
Specifically, it will develop cultural experience festivals tailored to local characteristics and promote branding by leveraging the unique features of each local store.
To strengthen merchants’ capabilities, customized consulting for stores will be provided, and an online platform will be established in line with changes in consumer behavior to create a market that attracts young people.
