Muan-gun Launches Full-Scale Jeonnam-Style Youth Community Revitalization Project

Certificate Awarding to 6 Teams and Filming of Youth Organization Introduction Video

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 14th that the launch ceremony for the 2023 Jeonnam-style Youth Community Activation Project was held at the Youth Platform on the 13th.

Governor Kim San awarded certificates of designation as youth community activity groups to six teams, marking the official start of the project and offering encouragement.

The 33 youths attending the event presented their team activity plans, creating a platform for communication, and shared the project’s direction and budget execution standards.

Going forward, the youth groups will engage in various community activities and network building among local youths to promote stable settlement and invigorate the local community.

Each team will receive 6 million KRW as activity support funds, participate in networking events and performance evaluation meetings, and continue activities until November.

The six youth communities selected this year are Handmade Muan, Kkumyeoul Flower Complex, Getmok (get 木), Luxury Muan, Value Irum Co., Ltd., and Imongjeomong.

Muan youths will contribute their talents through crafts, flower arranging, and woodworking skills, and engage in various activities such as flea market traffic volunteering, promoting Muan agricultural products, forming old railway culture, and operating return-to-farming and return-to-village programs targeting urban youths.

One youth who participated in the event said, “The launch ceremony was a great opportunity to share and learn about the activities of other youth communities,” adding, “I look forward to the next networking event.”

The Muan-gun Youth Platform, which organized the event, plans to produce a video introducing the youth groups and team interviews from the event and promote it on Muan-gun’s official YouTube channel, ‘Muan News.’
