"I Saw Choi Min-sik"… Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival Actor Special Exhibition
The 27th Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) has selected Choi Min-sik for this year's actor special exhibition.
On the 14th, BIFAN announced that it will hold a special exhibition titled 'I Saw Choi Min-sik' at the film festival, which will take place from the 29th of this month to the 9th of next month across Bucheon city.
Programmer Mo Eun-young said, "For 30 years, actor Choi Min-sik has been at the center of Korean cinema. He has offered a realm of constant transformation by breaking the image he built with his best performances." She added, "Continuously evolving and creating his own individuality and style, Choi Min-sik can be considered not only an actor but also a writer," explaining the reason for his selection.
The special exhibition will screen films personally selected by Choi Min-sik, including Our Twisted Hero (1992), Shiri (1999), Happy End (1999), Pyran (2001), Oldboy (2003), When Spring Comes (2004), I Saw the Devil (2010), Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time (2012), Forbidden Dream (2019), and Dr. Brain (2022).

Choi Min-sik will attend a mega talk event held at the Culture Hall on the 30th. A booklet and limited edition goods will be published, and an exhibition will also be held. Additionally, a special video featuring interviews with directors who have worked with him, such as Park Chan-wook, Kim Ji-woon, Hur Jin-ho, Jung Ji-woo, and Kang Yoon-sung, will be released.
