Yeonggwang-gun Conducts Preference Survey for Symbols of Jeonnam Sports Festival and Disabled Sports Festival

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 13th that it will conduct a preference survey for residents through the county's official website until the 19th regarding the emblem submissions for the 63rd Jeonnam Sports Festival and the 32nd Jeonnam Disabled Sports Festival to be held in April 2024.

The emblem preference survey targets slogans (mottos, catchphrases). From March to April, a total of 555 entries were received nationwide, and among them, 30 submissions from each category, selected through preliminary and first-round screenings, are subject to the survey.

Through the banner window on the county's official website, participants can select up to 10 preferred works from four categories (Jeonnam Sports Festival motto, slogan / Jeonnam Disabled Sports Festival motto, slogan) with multiple selections allowed.

The results of the slogan preference survey will be used by the selection committee for the 2024 two major sports festivals scheduled to be held at the end of this month. The final emblem will be confirmed after approval from both Jeollanam-do sports councils in the second half of this year.

A county official stated, “We ask for the active interest and participation of Yeonggwang residents in the emblem preference survey to help create a buzz and ensure the successful hosting of the two major sports festivals to be held in Yeonggwang in April 2024.”
