Modetour hosted the roadshow together with Tourism Australia for about 100 BP (Best Partner) agency representatives in Seoul on June 2 and in Busan on June 8.
Tourism Australia introduced detailed local conditions in Australia, where quarantine measures have been fully lifted allowing free travel, the new visa (ETA electronic travel authorization) application methods, and news about increased flight frequencies.
Modetour provided information on tourist attractions by region in Australia, explained new products based on the increased flight seat supply, and shared support plans for agency promotions in the second half of the year.
Direct flight routes to Australia have increased by about 170% compared to before COVID-19, and with the recent rise in popularity of long-haul routes, reservations for the Australian region from June 1 to 9 increased by 140% compared to the same period last month.
