Ha Jung-woo and Ju Ji-hoon’s 'Unofficial Operation' to Open on August 2... Clash with 'The Moon'
Distributor Showbox announced on the 12th that the movie "Unofficial Operation," starring actors Ha Jung-woo and Ju Ji-hoon, will be released on August 2.
"Unofficial Operation" is a buddy action film about diplomat Min-jun, who sets off to Lebanon to rescue a missing colleague, and a local taxi driver Pansu. Set in Lebanon in 1987, it showcases a survival action story of their struggle.
Ha Jung-woo plays a gritty, no-hope diplomat with nothing but guts. He volunteers for an unofficial operation to rescue a missing diplomat colleague under the condition of being assigned to the U.S. and heads alone to war-torn Lebanon. Ju Ji-hoon portrays a Korean taxi driver who is fluent in Arabic and knows the roads well but has a strong con artist streak.
The film is directed by Kim Seong-hoon, who also directed "A Hard Day" (2014), "Tunnel" (2016), and the Netflix series "Kingdom" (2019?2021).
