No Brand Burger Launches 100% Plant-Based 'Better Nugget'
Use of 100% Plant-Based Ingredients Including Soy Protein and Vegetable Oil
Shinsegae Food's No Brand Burger announced on the 12th that it has launched a plant-based chicken nugget called 'Better Nugget.'
Better Nugget is a new menu item in the low-carbon healthy menu group 'Better Choice' operated by No Brand Burger. It features the unique taste and texture of chicken nuggets using 100% plant-based ingredients instead of chicken.
Shinsegae Food focused on the growing consumer interest in health and the environment and newly developed the popular side menu 'NBB Chicken Nugget' using plant-based ingredients. In fact, since April, the 'Better Salad' and 'Better Burger' introduced at No Brand Burger using the 'Better Meat' alternative meat have received positive responses for allowing customers to enjoy the original menu's taste and texture in a healthier way. Within a week of their launch, these ranked 2nd and 4th in sales among 5 salad menu items and 16 burger menu items, respectively.
The newly introduced Better Nugget at No Brand Burger uses 100% plant-based ingredients such as soy protein, plant-based oil, and dietary fiber to replicate the chewy and tender texture and flavor unique to chicken. It even mimics the shape of the existing 'NBB Chicken Nugget' so that consumers trying alternative meat for the first time can experience it without hesitation. The price is 2,300 KRW (3 pieces) and 3,600 KRW (5 pieces). When ordering a burger set menu, customers can add 1,800 KRW to exchange the basic side of French fries for 'Better Nugget' (5 pieces).
