Gyeonggi Office of Education to Select 65 'Digital Leading Schools' Next Month

View original imageThe Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will select leading schools and train related teachers to innovate digital-based teaching and learning.
The Office announced on the 12th that starting in July, it will open a public selection for 65 digital leading schools in the province that have the will and capability to transition to digital education for digital-based educational innovation.
For these schools, the Office will promote ▲ digital infrastructure establishment ▲ operation of digital leading schools ▲ development and distribution of educational content ▲ strengthening capabilities for class innovation using Edutech ▲ spreading the achievements of digital education transition ▲ operation of AI-based teaching and learning platforms ▲ specialization of the Gyeonggi Edutech Soft Lab model ▲ operation of digital education leading districts.
Additionally, one leading teacher will be selected per leading school to realize personalized education for each student based on artificial intelligence (AI) and big data.
Earlier, on the 10th, the Office held the 'Edutech Utilization Education Picture & Dream Concert' at the Southern New Office to spread digital-based education.
About 250 teachers attended the concert and shared cases of practicing student-customized education using AI-based teaching and learning.

Jo Young-min, the Future Education Officer of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, emphasized, "With the selection as a pilot education office for digital-based educational innovation, we will take a step further toward student-customized education based on AI and big data. We will do our best to support building a future teaching and learning support system centered on digital leading schools and to develop and spread educational innovation models."
