Gyeonggi-do Calls for Public Suggestions on Low Birthrate Countermeasure Committee Name... Until the 19th
Gyeonggi Province is soliciting name suggestions for the 'Population 2.0 Committee' (tentative name) to address low birth rates through the Gyeonggi Province Voice website (vog.gg.go.kr) until the 19th of this month.
The Population 2.0 Committee, consisting of 200 citizen participants, is an organization tasked with concretizing policy ideas to respond to low birth rates and incorporating voices from the field in the decision-making process.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon of Gyeonggi Province will personally preside over a regular monthly committee meeting to discuss policies addressing low birth rates in areas such as pregnancy and childbirth, childcare, elementary school care, and marriage.
In line with the purpose of creating policies that reflect the voices of residents, Gyeonggi Province has decided to select the official name of the Population 2.0 Committee through public suggestions from residents.
By the 26th, Gyeonggi Province will select three final candidates through expert review, and then choose the grand prize winner through a public vote.
The grand prize winner will receive 500,000 KRW, and the two runners-up who made it to the final three but were not selected will receive consolation prizes worth 200,000 KRW in local currency.
