Gwanak-gu Holds ‘Hope Cart Sharing Market’ and Delivers Daily Necessities to 300 Vulnerable Households
On the 8th, daily necessities sponsored by Emart Co., Ltd. were delivered to 300 low-income vulnerable households at Gwanak-gu Office Plaza
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) held the ‘Hope Cart Sharing Market’ on the 8th in collaboration with Seoul Itda Food Bank Center and Emart, delivering groceries and daily necessities to vulnerable groups.
The ‘Hope Cart Sharing Market’ is a donation event in the form of a ‘market’ where groceries and daily necessities are displayed, and vulnerable groups can select the items they want and receive them directly.
On that day, 300 low-income vulnerable households were invited to the plaza of the district office, where Emart sponsored goods worth approximately 15 million KRW were delivered. For those who had difficulty attending due to mobility issues, honorary social welfare officers (Hope Discovery Team) and Our Neighborhood Care Team visited their homes to deliver the items.
In addition, five social welfare centers participated to provide welfare counseling for vulnerable groups, and the Ministry of Justice’s Legal Home Doctor offered free legal consultations.
Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “I deeply thank Emart Guro Branch for practicing sharing for neighbors during these difficult times of high inflation, and Seoul Itda Food Bank Center for cooperating in carrying out this project. We will continue to work with the local community to ensure ongoing support for vulnerable and disadvantaged residents.”
