Presenting Educational Directions and Aiming to Cultivate Creative Convergence-Type Future Talents... Composed of Four Subcommittees: Youth, Parents, Teachers, and Local Community
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced the launch of the ‘Dongjak Education Network’ to induce new changes in education and cultivate creative convergence-type future talents.
The ‘Dongjak Education Network’ is a consultative body that suggests overall policy directions for education and gathers opinions on current educational issues to find desirable alternatives.
About 200 students, parents, elementary, middle, and high school teachers, and local residents gather to form a total of four subcommittees: ▲Youth ▲Parents ▲Teachers ▲Local Community.
The network members, composed of various educational stakeholders, communicate about various educational projects through monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and workshops.
They jointly diagnose and evaluate the plans, progress, achievements, and future plans of sector-specific projects such as school support, youth autonomous activities, and after-school programs to seek progressive educational directions.
Any interested resident can participate as a member of the Dongjak Education Network, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the Education Future Division of Dongjak-gu Office.
The ‘Dongjak Education Network Launch Ceremony’ will be held on the 12th at the 5th-floor auditorium of the district office.
At the launch ceremony, big data expert Song Gil-young will give a lecture on ‘The Necessity and Direction of Future Education for Children in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era,’ covering topics such as big data and literacy education for children. Any interested resident can attend the lecture.
