Seunghwa Lee, Sancheong County Governor, Listens to Forestry Workers' Current Issues and Difficulties
"We Will Provide Full Support for Income Increase"
Lee Seunghwa, the governor of Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, continued on-site communication by holding a meeting with forestry workers.
On the 7th, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, held a meeting with forestry workers for communication and cooperation with institutions and organizations in the forestry sector at the county office's government meeting room.
At the meeting, about 10 chairpersons and secretaries-general of forestry-related organizations attended, including Governor Lee, Sancheong-gun Forestry Cooperative, Korea Forestry Successors Association Sancheong-gun Council, Sancheong Tium Social Cooperative, Sancheong-gun Yullimhoe, Obu-myeon Wild Vegetable Farming Group, and Sancheong-gun Gorosoe Federation.

In particular, they had in-depth discussions on budget support measures such as additional subsidies for forest products and related events.
Governor Lee said, “We will spare no support to ensure there are no difficulties in forest product production by making good use of forest resources that account for 80% of the total area of Sancheong-gun,” and added, “We will do our best to actively promote Sancheong forest products grown in this clean area to greatly help forestry household incomes.”
Meanwhile, Sancheong-gun supports forestry households through projects such as the Forest Product Production Infrastructure Project, which provides machinery necessary for forest product production, the Forest Crop Production Complex Project, and the Eco-friendly Forest Product Cultivation Management Project.
