Golden Blue Launches Irish Whiskey 'McConnells' for the First Time in Korea
Firstfill X Bourbon Barrel Only
Golden Blue International announced on the 7th that it will introduce Ireland's J&J McConnells LTD's authentic premium Irish whiskey 'McConnell’s' to the domestic market for the first time.
Launched in 1776, McConnell’s is the oldest whiskey brand in the Northern Ireland region. It blends Irish single malt and single grain in an optimal ratio, and is characterized by a rich flavor that cannot be experienced in other Irish blended whiskeys due to its particularly high malt content.
After blending, the master blender ages it for at least 5 years exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels (oak barrels that previously held bourbon whiskey and are used for the first time to mature whiskey), boasting a complex taste that combines sweet citrus, vanilla, and spicy flavors.
McConnell’s has been recognized for its product quality at world-renowned liquor competitions such as the 2023 DBSB Spring Blind Tasting, the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and the 2021 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, thanks to its excellent raw materials and luxurious packaging.
