Shinsegae Food Receives Highest Grade Certification for 'Zero Waste Landfill'
100% Waste Recycling Rate
All Residues Recycled After Pretreatment
Shinsegae Food announced on the 5th that its Icheon plant received the highest level of 'Zero Waste to Landfill' (ZWTL) certification, the 'Platinum' certification, from the global safety and environmental certification company UL.
Zero Waste to Landfill aims to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills by verifying various treatment methods such as recycling and reuse of waste generated at business sites, and then assigning corresponding grades. UL, a global environmental safety certification company, certifies sites based on the percentage of waste recycled instead of being landfilled, with three grades: ▲Platinum (100%) ▲Gold (95?99%) ▲Silver (recycling rate 90?94%).
