2 Million Made This Easy, 'Beomjoedosi 3' Breaks Through on Third Day
The movie 'Crime City 3' attracted 2 million viewers within three days of its release.
On the 2nd, ABO Entertainment announced that at 2 p.m., according to the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network, 'Crime City 3' (directed by Lee Sang-yong) surpassed a cumulative audience of 2,005,161.
The film gathered about 480,000 viewers during the Buddha's Birthday holiday irregular release, then attracted about 740,000 viewers on its opening day on the 31st of last month, quickly reaching 1.2 million viewers. The previous day, it added 479,210 more viewers, surpassing the break-even point.
It is even more meaningful as it is the first Korean film to exceed 2 million cumulative viewers in five months since the movie 'Hero' (directed by Yoon Je-kyun), which was released in December last year and reached 2 million viewers in January.
Additionally, it is one day faster than the record of 'Crime City 2,' which was released in May last year and surpassed 10 million viewers, reaching 2 million viewers in four days.
