Damyang-gun Supports Insurance Enrollment for Electric Assistive Devices... Coverage Up to 20 Million KRW
On the 31st, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will support the subscription to liability insurance for electric assistive devices (electric scooters, electric wheelchairs) for users registered as residents within the jurisdiction.
Damyang-gun's insurance for electric assistive devices for the disabled covers bodily injury and property damage liability up to 20 million KRW (with a deductible of 20,000 KRW), excluding the insured's own damages in case of an accident.
The insurance period is one year, from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024, and any Damyang resident who causes damage to others while operating an electric assistive device can file a claim within three years from the date of the accident.
Claims can be made using the insurance company's dedicated consultation phone line, and there is no limit to the number of claims, so claims can be made for every accident.
