Park golf is a popular sport that has recently emerged as a strong representative of recreational sports. It is easy for anyone to learn, suitable for the main age group of seniors to enjoy both health improvement and hobby activities, and its courses are mostly located near urban residential areas, making accessibility a key factor in its popularity.
Although park golf is mainly enjoyed by middle-aged and older adults, it is gradually expanding to younger age groups, developing into a family sport that can be enjoyed together.
Mayor Park Il-ho said, “First, I congratulate the hosting of the tournament. The weather has been getting very hot early this year. While the intense competition for the championship is welcome, above all, I hope this will be a good opportunity for everyone to safely avoid injuries and heatstroke, and to enjoy building friendship and camaraderie.”
