On the 31st, the Gyeonggi Office of Education announced the "Private School Field Support Platform Establishment Plan" to promote balanced growth with private schools.
The key measures announced that day include ▲technical support for the execution of private school educational environment improvement projects ▲advisory support for smooth personnel exchanges ▲and continuous communication with schools.
First, in April, the Gyeonggi Office of Education selected 122 schools for the first educational environment improvement project, supporting 306 projects such as LED lighting, heating and cooling system and window replacement, and exterior wall and restroom environment improvements with 57.3 billion KRW.
Additionally, to reduce the workload of schools and education support offices related to project execution and to perform overall control tower functions, one facility staff member and one industrial staff member will be assigned to the Private School Support Division in July.
Furthermore, an operational consultative body for facility support will be formed within the education support offices to discuss project plans, execution procedures, and schedules with private schools. Consulting for facility work support will also be conducted at least twice a year.
Along with this, to strengthen the role of the private school personnel support team, measures such as ▲forming and operating the support team with teachers having over 15 years of teaching experience and teachers by department ▲stabilizing the dispatch and invitation system to resolve issues of departmental teachers and overlapping teachers ▲and promoting the "Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education-type teacher exchange," which allows desired teachers to work at other corporations through inter-corporation consultations, will be pursued.
Moreover, the Gyeonggi Office of Education will expand training and consulting for education support offices and private schools to help understand private school personnel affairs and enhance the capabilities of personnel in charge, and will also regularize the operation of the private school future education consultative body.
Earlier, in February, the Gyeonggi Office of Education formed a consultative body consisting of private school corporation executives, private school principals, private school administrative directors, and external members.
