Lee Sang-geun, the governor of Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, personally visited the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to secure national funding necessary for next year's marine and fisheries projects.
On the 30th, Governor Lee and Goseong-gun officials met with Choi Yong-seok, Director of Fisheries Policy at the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and actively explained the conditions of Goseong-gun's fisheries industry and the necessity of various marine and fisheries projects.

View original imageIn particular, they proposed securing 1.5 billion KRW in national funding for the 2024 new project, the "Smart Scallop Farming Automation System Support Project," which aims to introduce an automated system throughout the entire process of managing and producing scallop farms to replace the labor shortage in fishing villages and hygienically produce Goseong-gun's premium scallops.
Governor Lee said, "Securing national funding is the most important factor to use the clean and valuable Goseong sea, which is clean enough to be certified by the US FDA." He added, "Goseong-gun will continue to be a community that always communicates to secure national funding."
