Purpose of Encouraging Growth of Promising Startups
The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and KDB Industrial Bank selected 14 companies as winners of the 'NextRise Awards' on the 31st. The NextRise Awards is a newly established prize this year to encourage the growth of promising startups. Its purpose is to support the overseas expansion and growth of startups participating in the NextRise exhibition.
KITA and KDB Industrial Bank selected a total of 14 companies through an evaluation based on technology and marketability from 332 domestic and international startup applications. At the official NextRise Awards ceremony held on June 1 at COEX, the winners of ▲Grand Innovation Prize (1 company) ▲Best Innovation Prize (3 companies) ▲Innovation Prize (10 companies) will be announced.
Many of the startups selected this time have business models utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). Specifically, these include ▲Pillize ▲KeyTalk AI ▲Pion Corporation ▲Luiten Technologies ▲Superbin ▲DeepX. In the bio and health sector, ▲Loen Surgical ▲Organoid Science were awarded, and in the display sector, ▲Mophic ▲Vernect received prizes. Additionally, ▲Join & Join ▲Astron Security ▲FTD Solutions ▲Kabuk were also among the winners.
The award-winning companies will have the opportunity to introduce their companies and products on the main stage of 'NextRise 2023.' Their products will be featured on the official NextRise website, allowing for global promotion. KITA plans to support overseas expansion by providing the top four award-winning companies with the opportunity to participate in Dreamforce, the world’s largest IT conference held in San Francisco, USA, facilitating business exchanges with local tech companies.
