Among the new confirmed cases, 29 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients hospitalized is 176, which is 6 fewer than the previous day.

Meanwhile, starting next month, when the COVID-19 crisis alert level is lowered from 'Severe' to 'Caution,' the mandatory 7-day isolation for confirmed cases will change to a recommended 5-day isolation. COVID-19 statistics, which were previously announced excluding Sundays and public holidays, will be reported on a weekly basis.
