Gyeongbuk Province Asks, "Who Will Add 'Wings' to Products?"... Designer and Company Matching Project Underway
Recruitment of Participating Companies and Consultants for 'Tomorrow is Design'
Fostering Gyeongbuk Designers and Enhancing Product Competitiveness
A project that matches local young designers with companies to nurture designers while enhancing product competitiveness is underway in Gyeongbuk.
The Gyeongbuk Provincial Government announced that it will recruit participating companies and design consultants for the ‘Tomorrow is Design Consultant’ support project from the 30th to June 16.
Hosted by the Design Policy Research Institute, this project selects design majors from the region and matches them with companies experiencing difficulties in design, providing design support. The goal of the project is to nurture local designers and strengthen the competitiveness of companies' products.
The target applicants for beneficiary companies must be businesses registered in Gyeongsangbuk-do based on their business registration. Design consultants must be design-related majors under the age of 39, residing in Gyeongbuk or currently enrolled or graduated from universities located in Gyeongbuk. A selection committee composed of professors from design-related departments and related industry professionals evaluates expertise, suitability, and feasibility of project execution to make the final selection.
The 21 selected design consultants will receive an activity fee of 2.5 million KRW per person, and the 21 matched Gyeongbuk companies will receive support for design production in one of the fields: product design, visual design, or packaging design, along with benefits for design rights application.
The consulting period is approximately six weeks, and outstanding consultants will be given opportunities to visit advanced design sites.
Detailed announcements can be found on the Gyeongsangbuk-do official website and the Design Policy Research Institute website.
