Police Investigate Four Members of Shindaebang Group on Suspicions of Minor Sexual Exploitation
The police summoned and investigated four members of the 'Shindaebangpaem' suspected of sexually exploiting minors. Shindaebangpaem is a group formed through the online community site Depression Gallery.
On the 26th, the Dongjak Police Station in Seoul is conducting an investigation into four members of Shindaebangpaem on charges of violating the Missing Children Act and assault and threats. Among them, one person has also been charged with statutory rape of a minor.
They are accused of luring runaway youths to the Shindaebangpaem base, not sending them home, and assaulting and threatening them.
On the 27th of last month, based on the testimony of minor victim A, the police filed charges against them for having sexual relations with minors under the age of 16. The police conducted a search and seizure of the Shindaebangpaem base in Dongjak-gu and secured about 10 mobile phones belonging to the four individuals for forensic analysis.
They admit that minors entered the base but claim that there was no assault, threat, or sexual relations.

Meanwhile, one member of 'Shillimpaem,' another group formed through the Depression Gallery, was arrested the previous day on charges of violating the Missing Children Act, the Narcotics Control Act, and threats.
