President Yoon Conveys Expectations for Friendship and Cooperation Through Special Envoy Team
President Yoon Suk-yeol plans to dispatch a congratulatory special envoy delegation composed of former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Jeong Gap-yoon and former Saenuri Party (predecessor of the People Power Party) leader Lee Jeong-hyun to the inauguration ceremony of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the newly elected President of Nigeria, scheduled for the 29th.
The Presidential Office conveyed this in a press release distributed to reporters on the 26th. Through the special envoy delegation, President Yoon intends to deliver his heartfelt congratulations and express his expectation for close cooperation to strengthen the friendly and cooperative relationship between South Korea and Nigeria.

The special envoy delegation will also deliver a personal letter from President Yoon to President Tinubu and, taking advantage of their attendance at the inauguration, will hold a meeting with the Speaker of the Nigerian Senate and visit the Korean Cultural Center, among other scheduled activities.
