As part of the ‘National Merit Veterans Residential Environment Improvement Project,’ Yojin Construction visited the home of the family of a war hero located in Sannae-myeon, Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do on the 24th, held a ‘Groundbreaking Ceremony for Free Repair Support of National Merit Veterans’ Old Houses,’ and began the construction work.
The ‘National Merit Veterans Residential Environment Improvement Project’ has been implemented annually since 1994 by the Korea Housing Builders Association to support national merit veterans in difficult living conditions and to enhance the status of the housing industry. This project supports the renovation and repair of deteriorated houses of national merit veterans with poor residential conditions through voluntary donations from member housing construction companies of the Housing Builders Association. Through this, elderly national merit veteran households can live in a comfortable residential environment.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held with the attendance of Kim Seon-gyu, Executive Director of General Planning Office at Yojin Construction, Yoon Jin-oh, Secretary General of the Korea Housing Builders Association, and Park Chi-woo, Compensation Manager of the Gangwon Western Veterans Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. Yojin Construction has participated in this project for 13 consecutive years since 2011. This year, it will provide free renovation work including replacement of the sink, wallpapering and flooring in the kitchen and master bedroom, and replacement of the front door at the home of Lee Gwi-soon, the bereaved family member of a war hero who is the beneficiary of the free repair support.
