Korail Gwangju Jeonnam, Marine Waste Collection in Yeosu Island Areas
The Korea Railroad Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters Volunteer Service Team recently visited Geumo Island, located in Nam-myeon, Yeosu City, Jeonnam Province, to conduct environmental cleanup activities, the team announced on the 25th.
The volunteer team collected marine debris washed ashore around the island and trash near the Bireong-gil trail, and delivered it to a city-designated resource recycling company.
Going forward, they plan to regularly visit islands in the Yeosu area, including Geumo Island, to carry out marine debris collection and recycling volunteer activities.
