Ulsan Fire Headquarters Pays Tribute to Fallen Firefighters at Daejeon National Cemetery 'Retroactive Joint Burial Ceremony'
The Ulsan Fire Department will hold a memorial service to honor fallen firefighters.
On the 25th at 3 p.m., 22 current and former firefighters from Ulsan will visit the Firefighters' Cemetery at the National Daejeon Memorial Cemetery to hold a memorial ceremony, the department announced.
This memorial service was arranged to commemorate the heroic deeds of fallen firefighters and patriotic martyrs, coinciding with the joint burial ceremony held at the Daejeon Memorial Cemetery following the retroactive amendment of the National Cemetery Act on March 21.
Five firefighters from the Ulsan area are buried here, including the late No Myeong-rae, who died in the fire at a commercial building in Seongnam-dong, Jung-gu on June 29, 2021, as well as the late Oh Se-young, late Park Yong-bok, late Jeong Hee-guk, and late Park Hak-cheol.
They sacrificed their lives protecting citizens' lives and property in urgent situations such as fires and rescues.
