Lee Gijae, Yangcheon District Mayor, Attends Remodeling Opening Ceremony of Haemaji Senior Dining Hall
Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, attended the remodeling opening ceremony of Haemaji Senior Dining Hall in Sinwol 7-dong on the morning of the 24th.
The district carried out remodeling for about two months since March, repairing internal leaks, modernizing cooking facilities, and reinforcing the interior of the dining hall to provide high-quality meals in a pleasant environment.
About 100 people, including Lee Gijae, Yangcheon District Mayor, district council members, and senior citizens who use the facility, attended the opening ceremony, which proceeded with a progress report, presentation of plaques of appreciation and commendations, congratulatory speeches, encouragement speeches, and a plaque unveiling ceremony.
The district plans to sequentially remodel five of the 11 senior dining halls in the area, prioritizing those with urgent aging and facility repair needs, by 2025.
Starting with the newly completed Haemaji Senior Dining Hall, the Yangcheon Senior Welfare Center (Sinjeong 7-dong) and Hanbit Social Welfare Center (Sinwol 4-dong) are currently in the design phase and are scheduled to be completed within this year.
