Incheon City, Preliminary Investigation of Jeonse Fraud Victims in Michuhol-gu
Incheon City announced on the 24th that it has begun a preliminary investigation into victims of jeonse fraud in Michuhol-gu.
Incheon City plans to conduct a preliminary investigation by the 1st of next month to provide prompt support such as postponement and suspension of auctions and public sales of houses affected by jeonse fraud. This investigation is being promoted to expedite relief procedures ahead of the National Assembly's passage of a special law for supporting victims of jeonse fraud. Among the victims in Michuhol-gu, 168 cases where postponement measures were not applied and auction or public sale commencement or sale dates are imminent are subject to investigation.
For the approximately 1,500 cases already under auction postponement, investigations will be conducted before the special law passes if victims apply.
